Brilliance Case Study: 4-M contractors at Eli Lilly corporate headquarters campus in Indianapolis
In December of 2006 Brilliance was introduced to the facility management team from Lang LaSalle. The site manager for Lang LaSalle, Ron Steyn allowed Brilliance to be evaluated based on the products “green” status and controlled wipe application. Prior to the Christmas holiday Ron Steyn applied the first coast of Brilliance on several elevator doors and panels, knowing that he would need to have the 4-M cleaning supervisor apply the second coat in his stead while he was on Christmas break. Ron returned from the holiday break shortly after the New Year and found that the stainless steel looked as it did when he departed assuming the contractor had followed his instruction to place the second coat.
The 4-M supervisor informed Ron that not only had he applied the second coat he also took the liberty and stared to employ the product on other stainless steel surfaces where 4-M cleaned due to the products efficacy. The 4-M supervisor found that he was able to eliminate the day to day cleaning of stainless steel to cleaning it with Brilliance once every 7 days. The labour savings were upwards of 70%, the appearance of the stainless steel had greatly improved, and the over spray issues were eliminated entirely. All three parties were quite pleased with the cleaning results, the labour savings, and the employment of a green cleaning agent.
Since the December test 4-M has now expanded the employment of Brilliance to all of its branches around the country to be used for cleaning stainless steel, laminate counter tops, and wood furniture. The product has been proven to improve the overall appearance of the surface, increase labour efficiencies tremendously, and eliminate over spray issues with both the stainless steel cleaning and furniture cleaning. 4-M has effectively eliminated the propensity for slips and falls due to aerosol spray applications for furniture, stainless steel, and laminate counter tops and desks.
